元宇宙是一個嶄新名詞，但我認識不多，於是我在1月底參加香港大學進修學院講座，由李力恒博士主講「元宇宙如何與我們的生活和工作息息相關」。據介紹，元宇宙是下一個互聯網提供從2D到3D沉浸式世界。一個極其真實的3D虛擬世界，橫跨社交、工作、金融、娛樂、經濟等領域。虛擬實景範例是遙控手術、教學、雕塑及壁畫。
技術是推動這個轉變的催化劑。研究界仍在探索元宇宙發展的道路，理想情況下，新技術會解鎖元宇宙的其他功能。至於使用者與工具的交互方面，在輸入時，用戶要能夠與無處不在的物理環境中的數位實體進行交互，向人類用戶顯示數宗實體。接觸方式有視覺、音訊、觸覺。元宇宙可以用於營銷活動，包括Microsoft Hololens宇航和醫療應用，用戶可看到太空人及人體。
要探索元宇宙，須重新建構我們的鍵盤，使用智慧眼鏡進行內容設計。除了視覺反饋，還有觸覺反饋，以提高使用者性能和真實感。構建元宇宙有三個階段，第一是物理世界，第二是數位生成創建，第三是元宇宙（藝術內容有場景、頭像、虛擬物件）。
我在歸途中，在一個巴士站上看到一張香港電台的海報，那是宣傳一個「元來睇得見」的節目，講述人和虛擬主持在元宇宙相遇，以手語開展一場生命之旅。可以期待，元宇宙將為各個產業在虛實結合的空間提供內容。元宇宙帶來的機會橫跨香港工業4.0/5.0，並可在粵港澳大灣區創造經濟價值。

the universe is a brand new word, but I don't know much about it, so I attended a lecture at the School of Continuing Education, the University of Hong Kong at the end of January, dr Li Liheng will give a talk on“How the meta-universe is closely related to our life and work”. According to the introduction, the meta-universe is the next internet offering an immersive world from 2D to 3D. A very real 3D virtual world, spanning social, work, finance, entertainment, economic and other fields. Examples of virtual reality are remote-controlled surgery, teaching, sculpture, and murals. Technology is the catalyst for this shift. The research community is still exploring the path of the universe, and ideally the new technology will unlock its other functions. As far as user-tool interaction is concerned, the user needs to be able to interact with digital entities in the ubiquitous physical environment at the time of input, showing several entities to human users. There are visual, audio, tactile contact. The meta-universe can be used for marketing campaigns, including Microsoft Hololens for aerospace and medical applications, where users can see astronauts and human bodies. To explore the meta-universe, we need to rebuild our keyboards and design content using smart glasses. In addition to visual feedback, there is tactile feedback to improve user performance and authenticity. There are three stages in the construction of a meta-universe: the first is the physical world, the second is the creation of digital generation, and the third is the meta-universe (art content includes scenes, avatars, and virtual objects) . On My Way Home, I saw a radio television Hong Kong (RTHK) poster at a bus stop. It was to promote a programme called“The Yuan come to see”, in which a person and a virtual host meet in the Yuan universe, a Journey of life in sign language. It can be expected that the meta-universe will provide content for various industries in the space of combination of virtual and real. The opportunities in the Industry 4.0 universe span the Hong Kong-guangdong-hong Kong-macao Bay area and create economic value.
